Hi, I am Chiara, an Italian photographer living in Sydney. I started the journey into the magical world of photography more than 12 years ago. It was my father’s hobby and passion but I could never understand his obsession with it.
One day, around my 17th birthday, I picked up his camera and I started to take random photos. That was the beginning of my love affair with photography.
I realized that I was more than simply taking photos but rather I was capturing moments of time with a backdrop of whatever I chose in the moment, like painting a picture.
Dad, now I get it!

I sought out photography courses to become more skilled and, ultimately, after high school, I attended Laba, the Academy of Fine Arts, and pursed a three-year program designed to acquaint the student with all aspect to photography including programs that are useful to enhance photos like Photoshop.
While I was working as a sale assistant, I started taking photos in nightclubs and weddings but I didn’t find that type of work very satisfying. So I began to lose interest and started to doubt that I would ever excel as a photographer.
I’ve always been a fearless adventurer, never afraid to take risks and curious about what life has in store for me. So in October 2017, I left my life, family and friends in Italy to move to Australia.
I can’t fully explain why I chose such a dramatic life change but, in my heart, I knew that something was waiting for me, something more that I could find in my home town.

After a couple of years in Australia, I was about to give up photography. I wasn’t inspired and simply, I wasn’t motivated to put in the time necessary to establish a successful career as a photographer.
And just as I was ready to give up, I started getting requests to photograph events that focused on maternity, newborns and families. And I finally realized that I had found what I really wanted to do with my life, with my photography.
What really gives me joy is to capture the joyous moments in people’s lives, those special events that can be relived through professional photos. And it’s with this motivation that I’ve become a lifestyle photographer and I’ve decided to specialised in maternity, newborn and family photography.
I would love to meet with you and I would be honoured to record your special event!
